Rimshot Guns for Nairobi Speaker Seat

Former popular Gospel DJ and KASS TV Marketing executive Rimshot Jackson Vieira has thrown his hat in the ring in the contest for the Nairobi City County Assembly speaker position.

Rimshot, who has vied for the Nairobi central ward MCA position at the August 2022 general elections and lost to Hon Mwaniki Kwenya is seeking to replace the outgoing Speaker and former Makadara MP Benson Mutura.

He will however face an uphill task to convince the Members of the county Assembly (MCA's) majority of who were elected on Azimio la Umoja One Kenysa coalition while he is being largely affiliated to UDA.

Rimshot ran for the CBD seat on an independent ticket emerging fourth out of thirteen candidates.
Rimshot notes that his key Competencies include his area of Sales and Marketing as an executive, Motivational Speaking, Youth leadership, Graphic Design, Video and Audio Production.

“Throughout my career, I have worked on range of engagements including, leadership, motivational speaking, marketing & branding, content creation, photo manipulation and illustration.

During this briefs I have improved upon my leadership skills, team work and communication skills,” Rimshot said in an interview.

“Additionally, I have developed my organizational skills and self-motivation through working on personal projects and by extension the campaign period. These have given me the skills and confidence needed to work in this environment, having an in-depth knowledge and understanding of all my career challenges and solutions,” he added.

He will be contesting against former Deputy Speaker and former MCA Ken Ng'ondi and the outgoing Speaker and former Makadara MP Benson Mutura.
